1 Lata de Gandules Verdes

1 Cebolla

1 Pimenton Rojo

2 Chorizos

2 Tazas Arroz

3 Tazas Caldo de Pollo

1 Sobre Sazón

Sal al gusto

For the Para el Sofrito

½ Cebolla

1 Jalapeño

3 Cebollin

4 Dientes Ajo

Cilantro

1 can of Green Pigeon Peas

1 Onion

1 Red Pepper

2 Chorizos

2 cup Rice

3 cup Chicken Broth

1 packet of Sazón

Salt to taste

For the Sofrito

½ Onion

1 Jalapeño

3 Green Onions

4 Garlic Cloves

Cilantro

Step 1

Para el sofrito en procesador de alimentos combina todos los ingredientes, procesa y aparta.

Step 2

Retira la piel de los chorizos y pica en pedazos pequeños.

Step 3

En una olla cocina los chorizos hasta que esten dorados y hayan soltado su aceite.

Step 4

Agrega los vegetales cortados en cuadritos, el sofrito previamente hecho, el sobre de sazón y cocina.

Step 5

Incorpora arroz y sofríe un poco.

Step 6

Agrega la lata de gandules y revuelve

Step 7

Agrega caldo de pollo deja hervir y cocinar tapado a temperatura media baja por 20 minutos.

Sirve y agrega jugo de Limon y cilantro picado.

Step 1

For the sofrito in a food processor, combine all the ingredients, process and set aside.

Step 2

Remove the skin from the sausages and chop into small pieces.

Step 3

In a pot, cook the sausages until they are golden and have released their oil.

Step 4

Add the vegetables cut into cubes, the previously made sofrito, the packet of seasoning and cook.

Step 5

Incorporate rice and sauté a bit.

Step 6

Add the can of pigeon peas and stir.

Step 7

Add chicken broth, bring to a boil and cook covered over medium-low heat for 20 minutes.

Step 8

Serve and add lemon juice and chopped cilantro.
